I was reading through some of my old blogs on Xanga and decided to repost some significant ones for my new readers:

July 05, 2008:
My mom and I went to this picnic with her friend and a bunch of strangers. Things happened and she said this: "It is hard to be a good person." And I thought about it and agree with her. I mean, how hard is it to be selfish? How hard is it to be bad, kill people and not care, hurt others without the slightest hint of guilt, want and take whatever you desire. It all seems so easy compared to someone who actually has feelings. For someone that cares, it hurts to see OTHERS hurt. You feel guilt if you cause another pain. You oftentimes don't get what you want. In fact, you would give it up so another can be happy. Which leaves you at the opposite side of that spectrum. When a good person does something bad, they are criticized and instantly hated for it. But when a bad person does a small deed, they are praised. So you tell me: which is harder? Who is stronger? If you ask me, good people are taken for granted. Maybe that's why God takes them away so young. To make us realize what we had, cause obviously a good person can't be remembered until they're gone.

Life works in the most amazing ways.. When you think your life is on track, another train starts going your way which throws you off course again. But I suppose that is what makes it so interesting; what makes it worth living. Because in the end, when your life is on track, and you finally consider everything perfect the way it is, you would look back and think about the journey and how through the bumps, ditches, broken tracks, and other trains led you to where you want to be anyways. And if you are not where you want to be, you have not arrived yet.

On a sidenote, my audition for the Vagina Monologues is coming up this weekend. Even if I do not get the part, I know I will learn a lot from this experience. I'm thoroughly excited to just meet the women that are auditioning as well. It will be quite the experience.

*Word of the day has been moved to be a gadget on the sidebar. The first word is today's, the second was yesterday's. Enjoy.
